Queer Town

Refunds and Cancellations

Last updated 2 October 2026.

Joining and using Queer Town is free. The only things anyone pays us for are adverts (booked on our advertisers' site) and promotions (a member paying for their own post or profile to reach more people). This page says when that money comes back.

The short version. If it hasn't started, you get all of it back. If it has started and you stop it, you get back the days it didn't run. If we stop it because it broke a rule, you don't.

Before it starts

After it has started

An example

A promotion for 3 days costs ₹300, so each day is worth ₹100. You stop it during its second day. The second day counts as run, so one full day is left: ₹100 comes back. The amount is worked out to the paisa and is never more than you paid.

How to stop it

A promotion: in the app, Your promotions → Stop it. An advert: on the advertisers' site, Stop it (or Cancel it if it has not started).

How a refund reaches you

It goes back the way you paid: to the same UPI account or bank account, and once card payments open, to the same card. We start it within 3 working days of it being owed. After that, banks usually take 5 to 7 working days to show it; a card can take longer, and that part is out of our hands. You don't need to ask: the moment a refund is owed you can see it, with the amount, in the app or on the advertisers' site, and it changes to sent, with the date, when we send it.

To ask about one, write to hello@queertown.in with the email address you booked with. A person reads it.

What you are buying, and when it arrives

Nothing is posted or shipped. An advert or a promotion is shown inside the Queer Town app, to the people and places you chose, for the days you paid for. It starts once a person here has read it and approved it, and your payment has arrived. You can see whether it is waiting, running or finished on the advertisers' site or in the app.

Prices

Every price is shown before you pay, and fixed once you send the request, so waiting for review never raises it. Prices are in Indian rupees unless the page says otherwise.
